Over the last 15 years Gemma and I have collected and inherited numerous old cameras and have been shooting analogue film photography on our adventures and holidays.

While packing to move to Sweden, we realised we had hundreds of rolls of negatives and boxes of prints that we had not done a great deal with. Some films were full of random experiments, others taken on expired and untrustworthy film. Some captured something beautiful and others went straight to the bin. Those that survived were put into boxes and shipped to Stockholm.

Let the archiving commence

The Covid-19 pandemic proved the opportune time to start doing something with them. We fired up our scanners and began uploading our favourites to Unsplash. Founded in 2013 as a Tumblr blog, Unsplash has grown into an industry-leading visual community. Despite their sometimes confusing approach to licensing, it remains one of the most active and supportive photography communities.

These are just a handful of my favourites, you will find the rest on mine and Gemma's Unsplash profiles.
